Ph.D. candidate at H.N.B. Garhwal Central University with research focusing on "Tourism and Hospitality Education/Training in the Malabar region of Kerala." Currently a Senior Research Fellow at the Centre for Mountain Tourism and Hospitality Studies (CMTHS), the research explores the developmental stages, challenges, and opportunities within the education and training landscape of tourism and hospitality in the Malabar region. In addition to thesis work, has conducted various field studies across Uttarakhand and other parts of the Indian Himalayan Region, with a particular focus on sustainable mountain tourism practices.
Completed a Master’s degree in Anthropology from Pondicherry Central University, with a dissertation titled "Impact of Modernisation among the Adiya Tribe of Thrissilery Village, Wayanad." This research involved extensive fieldwork, providing valuable experience in ethnographic and netnographic techniques, with a focus on understanding the social and cultural changes within the community.
Completed an MBA in Tourism from Pondicherry Central University, with dissertation focusing on "A Study on Slum Tourism with Special Reference to Dharavi Slum, Mumbai". This PG program provided a strong foundation in management, tourism concepts and principles, along with specialized knowledge in travel and aviation management, hospitality management, and an understanding of diverse tourism markets and customer perceptions.
Qualified the UGC JRF & NET in Anthropology in June 2024, conducted by the National Testing Agency and University Grants Commission (UGC), Delhi.
Awarded the prestigious National Fellowship (JRF) funded by Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, Govt. of India, New Delhi, in December 2020. This fellowship, amounting to approximately ₹25 lakhs for 5 years, supports advanced research and academic work, providing financial assistance throughout the Ph.D. program. It recognizes exceptional academic potential and research capabilities, enabling scholars to focus on their studies and contribute to their respective fields.
Qualified the UGC NET in Tourism Administration & Management in June 2018 and December 2020, conducted by the University Grants Commission (UGC), Delhi. This certification demonstrates a high level of expertise in the field, qualifying for lectureship and research roles in universities and higher education institutions across India.
